Frequencies in Use

Home

The club adopted a new frequency policy in summer 2007 to accommodate flying at the new Florence Airport site and informal flying some members wished to do elsewhere in Florence, particularly Miller Park.  The close proximity of Miller Park, the Junior High Field and other locations poses a problem for safe flying only a short distance away from  the new site on the Florence Airport.  Therefore, since the club is small, the members voted to assign unique frequencies on the 50 and 72 MHz band, reducing the likelihood of frequency conflict when flying either at the airport site or other informal locations in the Florence area.  New club members  should contact the FARCAA club secretary, Gary Israel (541) 902-8370 to obtain an open frequency assignment for club flying in the Florence area.  Guests should also contact Gary to learn the names and telephone numbers of FARCAA members on certain potentially conflicting frequencies.
